Summer Mealtimes

Last week it was so hot here that many of us went off food. It literally was too hot for a meal.

And given that summer is gone all too soon we opted instead for fresh fruit salad and icecream. And iced fruits drinks, iced tea and iced coffee. You get the idea - it involved a lot of cold stuff.

It's amazing how food tastes so much better eaten outdoors.

Pretty soon after these pictures were taken I was KO'd by a bought of flu and throat infection and life has been a miserable living waking hell, hence my absense (nearly wrote abscess, hmm) here. And although the pain has gone somewhat I'm still wobbly, so if I don't post then don't flounce off and leave me.

Hopefully too I will announcing my new shop and  blog here next week. Are you intrigued?? Are ya? Are ya? Yeah well too bad, I'm going to be telling you all about it when everything is finished.

tableclothe started off its short life as a bedspread and I didnt like it too much as a bedspread so now it is a picnic blanket and garden tableclothe. Which suits its frisky nature better. I have no idea what I'm talking about. nurse!

Summer is having a summer break and will be back shortly. Oh I feel rotten - steamrollered. Flattened. two dimensional. I hope I get better sooooon too because I am an impatient patient.

Ah... well it *looks* healthy and I get points for being a very good mother, but what YOU don't know (but I guess you do now) is that under that monstrous pile of vitamin goodness lies a dark heart of ice cream. Mmmm
