You've seen this wall partly finished before. It's the wall that separates the sitting room and kitchen and faces the stairs. An ignored space for much of the time. So ignored, in fact, that it hadn't even crossed my mind to fuss over it until I saw someone elses' on Flickr and thought 'why haven't I done anything with my little bit of staircase?!'
And so fuss I did. Not for long, because it is a small space, but I gave the wall a lick of paint, and painted the shelving a white gloss and then set about finding some pretty things to cheer the space up to give it a 'loved' look.
To compliment the bottom of the stairwell I decided to also paint the wall between the bedrooms (yes we only have two. Yes people live like that in this day and age).
Same colour, and looking for more pretty things for the wall.
{Please don't email me to tell me all the mistakes. Just squint your eyes and pretend you can't see them}
Nice ma sha Allah!

I love the combination of cool white/gray with the warm yellow/orange accents. It looks great, like a picture from a fancy magazine!

mashaAllah - quite some decorating!!
it's good for children to share bedrooms btw. even if we had the space it would have to be exceptional circumstances to put one child in a room alone. I believe it contributes to the 'Generation Me' and 'sense of entitlement' mentality our teachers talk about - which we are trying to *painfully* shake out, screaming all the way. lol
So have hope.))
