Yes. Real live table and chair. Since returning from Up North and rearranging everything not nailed down, the one thing missing was somewhere to actually work. I mean, workspace? Check. Fabric? Check. Designs and ideas?? Check. Table and chair.... hm...

But at last they came. They made it! Here they are, and what a lucky crafter I am - a little space of my own to sew to my heart's delight...

And the advantage of having my *own* space? Well, I can leave the machine out whenever I like. I have space to cut, space to sew, space to iron and space to try out new ideas, like this one. But best of all? I have space for guests...

See? They come and join me for a little quality DVD watching as I hammer things out on the machine.

My new cushion/pillow in brick patchwork. And of course, it is in the shop right now.
I love that bird on a sofa fabric. And you have the perfect set up there - kids around you while you are sewing, but without the need for either of you to stop doing what you love. (Gorgeous cushion too :-))

Yeah I love that fabric too. Don't love the price so much; wish I could have had a little bit more...
Kids enjoy being with me while I work but they do try it on ... 'mum what does this needle do' *rolls eyes*

The pillow is just gorgeous. I love when people really take the time to make each part of their lives beautiful and inviting. I think it says so much about the individual.

Ah, thankyou Maria for such a sweet comment! I agree with you; I really think beauty should be everywhere and there is no such thing as 'mundane' when the creative forces work upon something - everything can be beautiful and joyful
